BEIJING (January 9, 2024) – Nissan’s sales in China reached 98,873 units in December.
The sales volume of Dongfeng Nissan (including the Nissan, Venucia and INFINITI brands) reached 95,204 units in December. The LCV business represented by Zhengzhou Nissan (ZNA) sold 3,669 units in December. Nissan’s sales (including PV and LCV) saw strong month-on-month growth of 32%.
Nissan in China sold 793,768 units in 2023.
Shohei Yamazaki, senior vice president of Nissan, as well as chairman of the Management Committee for China and president of Dongfeng Motor Ltd. (DFL) said: “Despite the economic and market headwinds, there was a strong performance in December supported by a variety of vehicle choices that Nissan offers to customers. We will continue to navigate the short-term challenges while striving to meet our long-term commitments, including delivering leadership products and maintaining sustainable growth.
“In December, the Nissan Sylphy family kept up the strong sales momentum. The Nissan Altima and SUV lineup also were strong performers. This will help us fulfill our commitment to meet the diversified needs of Chinese customers,” Yamazaki added.
